NEW YORK’S FAVORITE FESTIVAL IS BACK – AND BETTER THAN EVER

It’s summer in New York City, and that can only mean one thing: The Governor’s Ball is back. The official summer kick-off for music lovers across all five boroughs, Gov Ball 2025 is set to take over Flushing Meadows Corona Park on June 6th, 7th, and 8th, bringing an epic lineup spread out across three stages on three action-packed days. With a little over a week left until the festival gates open, we’ve broken down the lineup, the experiences, and the things you absolutely can’t miss at Gov Ball 2025.

FRIDAY:

We ain’t got time for anything less than iconic – Tyler The Creator headlines on opening night, following evening performances by Benson Boone, JPEGMafia, MK Gee, Role Model, and the Backseat Lovers, with daytime performances by the Beaches, Isabelle Larosa, and more. To keep things local, School of Rock Queens opens up the festival, starting the festival on a bright, positive note that is sure to please fans of all genres.

SATURDAY:

Another song, another club, another bar, another dance – On Saturday, pop sensations take over the mainstage, with Marina, Wallows, Conan Grey, and more performing ahead of headliner Olivia Rodrigo. Keeping with the theme of paying homage to the city that never sleeps, School of Rock New York kicks off the mainstage at noon. Saturday is typically THE day for any festival, and with a lineup like this one, Gov Ball doesn’t disappoint.

SUNDAY:

Take us to church – Sunday brings folk music into the mix, with Hozier closing out the show with the headline slot. Before the Irish icon takes the stage, festival goers can catch performances by Glass Animals, Mt. Joy, Clairo, and Grammy-nominated Raye alongside Key Glock, Amaarae, as more, including New York’s own Mark Ambor, whose daytime set kicks off a summer-long festival run across North America and Europe.

BEYOND THE MUSIC:

In addition to hosting an epic lineup of artists, Gov Ball has packed the festival grounds with no shortage of things to do in between sets. Among other exciting experiences, festival goers can stop by the Kiehl’s SPF Remix Booth for a free skin analysis, freshen up in the Electolit Hydration House, play around in the Rakuten R-cade, and shop the exclusive Governors Ball Collection at the Pacsun Festival Hub. Of course, we can’t forget the photo ops provided by Gov Ball’s iconic Lady Liberty and the Flushing Meadows Unisphere, which has stood on the grounds since the 1964-65 World’s Fair.

Even more impressive than this year’s lineup of artists and experiences is the Governor’s Ball’s commitment to lifting up the New York communities that surround it. In addition to highlighting local artists, Gov Ball has made waves giving back to local communities by offering fans the opportunity to earn free GA tickets in exchange for volunteering with local organizations. While two of their three volunteer partnerships are now closed, hopeful attendees still have the opportunity to see the festival for free by volunteering with the Chhaya CDC Housing Fair on May 31st*.
