No Vacation ended their spring tour by selling out the historic Fillmore Theater in San Francisco. With this being their hometown show, there was no doubt that it was going to be a great one with how many friends and family were in attendance. I first got a glimpse at their set at Outside Lands after discovering their music through one of my many curated spotify playlists and they quickly became a favorite. The crowd they drew in at Outside Lands was insane, especially the one they had when playing a little stage that was situated on one of the trails leading attendees from one big stage to another.

Luni Li joined No Vacation on tour and brought her dreamy bedroom pop to help kick things off. I actually got to see her a while back when she opened up for Japanese Breakfast on their Jubilee tour and thought she was really great! This time was no different and it was nice to hear some new tunes she’s been working on since then.

Fronting No Vacation is SAB, whose vocals are soft and captivating and has a bit of a moody presence on stage that seems to break every once in a while in between songs. Each band member brought something great to the set as well and I think many of them got some solos in throughout the show. I had no idea the amount of different instruments that would be included in their set. It was both impressive and really awesome to see it all tie together. Every song had the audience dancing and singing along and watching everyone on stage was just as fun. You could tell the band was having the time of their lives up there as they were singing and dancing. Their set went by insanely quick and before I knew it they were ending their set by bring Luna Li back out to join them for their final song. They ended the show by jamming out to their cover of The Cranberries, Linger. Of course the crowd sang along to every word and it felt like the perfect ending to an awesome show.

They’re absolutely worth checking out the next time they hit the road and I can’t wait to see them again.
