Bonnaroo is a magical weekend of music, fun, and friendship held each June on our 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN. Our lineup features a diverse group of 150+ acts set on some of the most historic and iconic stages in the world, and music goes around the clock.
What makes Bonnaroo so special is the community. There is truly something for everyone including a pride parade, Soberoo, yoga, Roo Run, Splash-A-Roo, vintage markets, assortment of food options and sustainable vendors.
One of the coolest experiences this year was free breakfast tacos from Cracker Barrel and slushies from Sonic. There was so much gratitude at Bonnaroo from attendees, artists, sponsors, workers and everyone in between – it sets the festival apart from so many other events.
Everywhere you go someone is giving you a high-five or saying “Happy Roo” which makes the farm feel like home. It’s one of the most accepting festivals I’ve ever been to, there is so much love at the festival.
Because the venue is on such a huge farm, the festival offers a free transportation service called the Jamtrak to help you get around. Along with that, there are different plazas setup throughout the campground to give special experiences for each area such as a charging station, pop-up shows, zen-zone, the rest stop and circus shows.
Music highlights included Kendrick Lamar’s birthday, Hayley Williams singing “My Hero” with Foo Fighters, Odesza’s drum line, Lil Nas X’s dance moves, Peach Pit crowd surfing, GRiZ’s two sets and Rina Sawayama’s outfit changes in the heat.
This is my second year attending Bonnaroo and is one that I would go to year after year without even knowing the lineup. This year I brought my friend group including a first-time festival goer and we can all say the farm is our favorite. There’s nothing like screaming your favorite lyrics to multiple artists in multiple genres plus seeing attendees get married and a circus show with your best friends in a single day.
