On April 4TH 2022, Canadian born pop star Tate McRae performed a sold out at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. When I made it to the venue, I was greeted with a long line that wrapped around the block filled with fans beaming with excitement. The venue filled up fast and it quickly became clear to me how big of a sensation Tate McRae was going to be. Born and raised in Calgary, Canada Tate McRae grew her following at 14 years old when she released her first song titled, One Day which gained millions of views thus upstarting her rise to stardom.

The night started with the two opening acts: musical duo Babygirl and British singer songwriter, Mimi Webb. Once they performed it was Tate’s turn to take the stage. Fans yelling “Tate! Tate! Tate!” were echoing throughout the venue in anticipation and asthe lights dimmed a chorus of screaming followed.

The band took to the stage and finally a bright sign with McRae’s logo “T8” lit up the stage as Tate McRae came out with her two dancers kicking off the night with a choreographed piece that got the crowd amped and ready for the rest of the night. Between the choreographed dances and amazing vocals, Tate’s stage presence was phenomenal and the energy she had on stage was contagious. Fans of all ages sung the songs, danced and reached their hands out to the pop star with beaming smiles on their faces.

This was a show to remember and an artist I will never forget because mark my words, it is only going up for Tate McRae from here.
