Set times for the debut edition of Primavera LA were just released and can be found here. From September 16 to 18, for the first time ever in Los Angeles, 65 artists will take to LA State Historic Park across four stages. Whether you are making the trek from out of town or just plan to hop on the city bus and have a short commute, navigating the three day festival can and should be a breeze. We’re here to provide you with the who, what, when, where and why ahead of the inaugural event.

Tickets for the festival, including one-day, two-day, and three-day options can be found at primaverasound.com.

Who

The main festival lineup is headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Nine Inch Nails and Lorde, but you’ll also be able to catch James Blake, Mitski, Khruangbin, Kim Gordon, King Krule and over 50 more artists. Split over four stages (the Primavera Stage, Tecate Alta Stage, Barcelona Stage, and Smirnoff Ice Stage), there is a good amount of staggering in start times and you should be able to catch all your favorite acts.

In addition to the headliners, we can’t wait to see Girl In Red on Sunday opening for Arctic Monkeys on the Primavera Stage, as well as Clairo on the same stage on Friday. We also are looking forward to Darkside’s Primavera In The City show at Hollywood Forever Cemetary on September 14. More on that in the next section.

What

Primavera Sound is an iconic festival, originally in Barcelona but now in a half dozen cities in Europe, South America and of course, The United States. In addition to the three big days at LA State Historic Park, in a nod to its roots in Barcelona, Primavera In The City will offer an added program to the main festival experience and a chance to see Primavera acts in uniquely LA venues like Hollywood Forever Cemetery, The Echo, and Hollywood Palladium.

For foodies, the festival has partnered with Smorgasburg to create a hand-curated vendor lineup for Primavera Los Angeles including pan-fried dumplings from Mao’s Baos, Asian Influenced Texas BBQ from Smoke Queen BBQ, chicken wings from a former Jon & Vinny’s chef from Two Wings, grilled cheese sandwiches, and raclette from Cheezus, and plant-based Mexican delights from Cena Vegas.

Attendees at Primavera Sound Los Angeles can also enjoy beverages and products from a variety of top brands and companies including Tecate ALTA, Smirnoff Ice & Seltzer, JUST Egg, Jose Cuervo, Hangar 1, Pull & Bear, Red Bull, and more.

Why

Los Angeles has had numerous festivals this summer, but few come with the range and polish that you can expect from Primavera Sound Los Angeles.

Located walking distance from the LA Metro and easily accessible from downtown LA, the Los Angeles State Historic Park is a great venue that will certainly make for a beautiful festival backdrop. On top of that, the headliners are some of the biggest acts to bring their talent to LA this summer. Catching all three on the same weekend is simply once in a lifetime.
