Austin City Limits (ACL) 2024 continues to prove why it’s one of the most anticipated music festivals of the year, offering two weekends of pure musical bliss in the heart of Texas.
The lineup? Incredible. ACL is multi-genre with some of the top talent and rising stars to look out for. This years headliners, blink-182, Tyler, the Creator and Dua Lipa gave outstanding performances with fans singing every lyric. Of course, many fans traveled near and far to see Chappell Roan on Sunday and she didn’t miss. There were tons of pink cowboys hats, boots and shirts to support the “Good Luck, Babe” singer.
Aside from the music, ACL 2024 fostered a sense of community that went beyond the tunes. With tons of food trucks including local favorites, art installations, sustainable shops and awesome ACL merch.
This year ACL added huge fans to the Amex Stage to keep fans cool and provide safety in the Texas heat. One thing that made this year extremely wonderful was how on top security and medical was. If someone was in danger, staff would be there instantly, they also had security bring water into the crowd for fans who might not have access, along with spraying attendees with water to keep cool.
I love that ACL is all ages because you get to see so many people, young and old, gather to bond over live music. During Benson Boone’s set, children were sitting on shoulders to sing his hit “Beautiful Things”.
There really is something for everyone at ACL, whether it’s big screens in the beer garden for Sunday football, lounges for T-Mobile user and Amex holders, bodega for quick snacks, vendors for last minute festival needs or a great bite to eat.
ACL not only lived up to its reputation but exceeded expectations. Whether you were a first-timer or a seasoned attendee, Austin City Limits reminded us why it’s an essential stop on any music lover’s calendar. ACL brings the energy like no other Texas music event – we all gather in the blistering heat to sing every word of our favorite bands. The staff, vendors, security, sponsors, artists and fan make this festival magical every single year.
