Consisting of three stages, two days, and almost 30 performers, Wonderstruck was nothing short of a great experience. The relatively small area made for a laid-back and all-around enjoyable festival environment. There was no rushing back and forth between stages and plenty of shady areas to rest between sets. Apart from the exceptional lineup, there were plenty of unique local vendors and great food options to check out.

The festival started off with high energy. The first thing that could be heard from any stage was a scream from the punk band Detention whose songs would have even your grandpa headbanging. Speaking of high energy, Tai Verdes took the stage later in the evening. His presence on stage was infectious, playing hits like TikTok viral “A-O-K” and “Stuck in the Middle.” After several more amazing performances, the day closed out with The Lumineers. Their setup included a circle of microphones surrounded on all sides by the crowd, and complete with the sunset as a backdrop. The environment there felt nostalgic, like a jam session around a campfire.

Day two kicked off with .wavrunner who later walked around the festival taking pictures with fans. The same was true of other performers, like Weathers who patiently waited for a line of fans to take pictures after their set. Their set had everyone moshing, closing out the smallest stage at the festival with a bang. Earlier in the day, Big Freedia had everyone twerking (quite literally) with her set up of four dancers and a DJ. Closing off day two, and therefore the festival, there was no one better than Vampire Weekend.
