Daniel Seavey has caught a second wind. Following the release of his debut album on March 7, 2025, the Why Don’t We alum hit the road for a 39-show tour, returning to the stage with a rush of adrenaline that has to be seen to be believed. Performing to a roaring crowd at NYC’s Irving Plaza on April 13, Seavey is back in his element—and he’s absolutely electric.

Speaking on Instagram a week before the album’s release, Seavey shared, “It’s been a pretty hectic couple of years for me, and it was insanely challenging to find my footing in life again, if I’m being completely honest. In a lot of ways, I felt like I had to completely hit the restart button. I had to rebuild. I had to push to remember who I was and who I wanted to be. This album is the first real step forward.”

Seeing Seavey onstage again, it’s clear that step has become a massive leap. Watching him perform—and hearing how the crowd adores him and his music—it’s obvious he’s riding a high that’s only going up.

It’s a unique kind of energy, but it’s not the only thing that makes Seavey stand out as a performer. Throughout the Second Wind tour, Seavey has showcased his raw talent by looping a different crowd-chosen song live at each show. In New York, it’s the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris”—and it kills. His ability to build these covers live, layer by layer, reveals an almost unfathomable level of musical skill. Watching the song come to life as he loops drums, keys, bass, and guitar is nothing short of mesmerizing.

The energy in the room rises as Seavey works his way through the setlist. From the opening, uplifting bop “Waves” to the emotional pop-rock anthem “Other People” that closes the encore, he performs with more energy and excitement than one person should be able to have—and the crowd matches it. Seavey brings a contagious spirit to the stage; he lights up the room and lifts the crowd in a way few artists can.

Seavey isn’t just back—he’s evolved. With every note, every beat, and every moment onstage, he proves that hitting restart doesn’t mean starting over. It means coming back stronger, louder, and more unapologetically yourself. The Second Wind tour isn’t just a comeback—it’s a statement. And if Irving Plaza is any indication, Seavey’s next chapter is only just beginning. As the final notes of “Other People” ring out and the lights dim, one thing is certain—Daniel Seavey has found his second wind, and he’s not letting it go.

The North American leg of the Second Wind Tour wraps up on April 19 in Nashville, TN, with the European leg kicking off in Stockholm on May 1. Tickets are available at danielseavey.com/tour
