Singer, songwriter Lizzy McAlpine kicked off her first ever headlining tour this fall season with a completely sold out tour. On September 14, 2022 Lizzy performed a memorable show in Detroit that was filled with a chorus of singing with a side of tears. The night opened up with Carol Ades who put on a beautiful performance, she got the crowd buzzing and ready for Lizzy McAlpine to grace the stage.

After a few moments, the house music faded and the lights dimmed which signified the start of the set. The fans screamed and cheered with excitement as Lizzy played her opening song An Ego ThingIt didn’t take long for the crowd to follow suit and sing along to the words. They belted the lyrics and as the microphone was pointed to them they delivered and yelled out every single word without hesitation. That song set the tone for the whole night.

The sold out show packed the main venue hall and overflowed out into the bar. Despite not being able to see, the people in the overflow section did not let that stop them from having a great time. They were dancing and singing all the same!

Lizzy had an encore segment to the show and played her popular song Pancakes for Dinner which was followed by a new song titled Come Back Down. She then closed off the night with an upbeat favourite, Orange Show Speedway. The Detroit fans planned out a fan project and held out orange cards to their phone lights and painted the crowd orange in honour of the song. The show closed off on a high note with everyone jumping and singing along. Lizzy closed the show and the crowd filed out of the venue buzzing with energy from the night.

There is no doubt that Detroit loves Lizzy McAlpine.
