Osees

The man, the myth, the legend: John Dwyer of the Osees had all the theater security on their toes for their entire set. Known for the amount of chaos they’re able to attract with their crowds, they kicked their set off with a bang. Their opening band, Love Fiend were a great choice to bring along to start the show. Their punk sound was the perfect warm up for the audience to get the adrenaline going and the mosh pits flowing.

If you’ve ever been to an Osees show, you know to prepare your body to be sore, banged up and bruised for at least a few days. The amount of pushing, shoving and dancing that was going on, ended up creating a pit of sweaty bodies that were slamming into each other. Crowd surfers started making their way from the back of the room, up towards the front, but would stop right before they made it up to security to avoid getting into any kind of altercation. Throughout the show, people were screaming and begging for John Dwyer to spit on them. Theres a lot of spitting happening on that stage.

The amount of sound that came from that show was massive. Temporary hearing loss was an extra perk that came with seeing a band that features two drummers and their crazy drum sets. Every minute was absolutely well worth it. If you’re ever in the market for hitting up a fun show, even if you’ve never heard of these guys, definitely go check them out!
