mehro’s performance at The Axis in Toronto was nothing short of unforgettable. Before his set, I had the chance to chat with the LA Based artist during a pre show portrait session where he shared with me that this was his first time in Canada ever. As we wrapped the shoot he expressed how excited he was to perform in Toronto. I made my way back into the crowd and saw that everyone was waiting in anticipation. The lights dimmed and out walked mehro with his guitar in hand. He introduced his first song and the crowd attentively listened, from the side stage I could see fans at the very front looking up to the singer in awe.

This artist definitely captured the audience at Toronto’s Axis Club as all eyes were on him, hanging on every lyric and chord. mehro does a phenomenal job at bringing the audience into the time and place in where he wrote specific songs and shared stories with them no matter how vulnerable they were. His feelings and emotions really shined through the lyrics and performance.

After mehro’s set, I had the chance to talk to a fan that was in line at his merch table. I asked them what they like so much about his music and they replied, “I just really admire how real he is with his lyrics. He doesn’t water down his emotions and what he may have been feeling at the time he wrote it. They make me feel like I’m not alone”.

mehro’s newest ep release, Dark Corners and Alchemy is scheduled to release this coming March and is available to pre-save. You can catch mehro on tour supporting Claire Rosinkranz at these dates.
